DayPilot 1.0.1 Released

A new maintenance version (1.0.1) was just released:
  • ViewState support fixed (some DataTables causing the HttpException "The type 'WebCalendar.DataSet1+EventsDataTable' must be marked as Serializable or have a TypeConverter other than ReferenceConverter to be put in viewstate.")
  • The by-product is that the viewstate is now smaller
See the download section.

Comments:

Love the calendar! It is just what I have been looking for! Can I make a few requests for minor enhancements?

1. Is there any way to include the dropshadow on the events that are shown? The WinForms Outlook has the dropshadow although the web-based Outlook doesn't so no biggie if that doesn't work.

2. Can the times that are shown be changed to show as AM/PM instead of military time? Also, it would be nice if the format on the hours was the same as Outlook (ie. a big font for the hour then a small font for the 00).

3. Can you show multiple columns on the calendar to perhaps show different locations on the same date? Or, if you put in 7 columns you would have a week's calendar.

I love the calendar and would love to see any enhancements to it.
Good suggestions:

1. Dropshadow is not my priority at the moment and I will start playing with that after 2.0 release.

2. This is planned for version 1.1.

3. This is planned for version 2.0.

For details see http://www.daypilot.org/roadmap.html.
Do you have a timeline for the 1.1 and 2.0 release? We might be able to do some of the development on it to get the stuff in that we want.
Bobmeister: I am going to update the roadmap soon and it will contain more specific release dates.

What features would you like to be added?
I have just downloaded the calendar and it looks great. Thanks for putting in all the efforts.

Now my question... It might be me being stupid but I will still ask :)

I have tied the calendar to standard .Net Calendar control so you select a date from the calendar and set that date to Daypilot calendar. It works fine for the first time but as soon as you select another date the events are still shown but the whole control is disabled apart from the event slot. Any ideas :(
