DayPilot 2.1 (open-source Outlook-like calendar for ASP.NET) was just released.

New feature highlights:

  • Fully compatible DataSource property (supports any IListSource, IEnumerable, or IDataSource implementing class, including DataSet, DataTable, DataView, ArrayList).
  • Supports Safari browser.
  • 17 new properties for changing the appearance (colors and fonts).
Read what else is new in 2.1 and download it.

Comments:

If you can make the cell appearance(colour, font, with/without the time in it) changable individually, that will be better
@ post above:
The the whole outlook-like idea would be gone...

@ Dan:
Is it possible to add an appointment by right-clicking on a specific time and getting a little menu that says: "make appointment" that redirects to a page for example or something like that?
If so, how can i do that (i'm not a coding genius)?

Thanks in advance,

I like the switch to using the Days property and making EndDate readonly, but you should probably update the web site to reflect that as it was a little confusing at first.

My feature request is using the non-business hours background color for weekend days. Or a weekendbackgroundcolor property.
Bastiaan:

I will need to think about this. At this moment you can only use left mouse click to execute custom JavaScript action.

John:

I've updated the documentation on the web.

Weekends will be drawn in non-business color since release 2.1.1 (bugfixing release that will be out this evening).
Dan; can you than explain how to add a new appointment by left-clicking on freetime? This is not explained in the toturial.
Thanks in advance.
I've added some details about what I'm using to the Handling user actions tutorial chapter.
Thank you Dan. I will try to get it working.
